HER PEOPLE

Queen Lucy illuminescent Kel’s first friend in this world, and perhaps the one she admires most...Which is excellent considering they are now dating and Lucy has declared Kel a Knight of the Lion.

Aerith Gainsborough 23wishes A true friend, and one Kel has never had the like of. Aerith likes shopping and dresses. New territory, as far as Kel is concerned, but she adores Aerith and trusts her implicitly. It doesn’t hurt that she seems to know a lot more about dating than anyone else of Kel’s accquaintence.

Marian Hawke whathawksdo A woman of easy-going humor and a love of dogs, so she’s Alright in Kel’s books. She always knows where she stands with Hawke, and enjoys the other woman’s blunt opinions and sharp wits.

Six irassible Her third housemate, quietly dependable, and a fantastic cook. Kel appreciates Six’s no nonsense demeanor and also his fish dishes. A quiet, comfortable, mutual respect.

Gregor Vorbarra vorbarra Seems to be the exception that proves the rule ‘good rulers are rarely good men’, Gregor is always willing to explain things to Kel without any condescension and with a quiet respect for her title that she rarely sees. He has her loyalty completely.

Perry doesntdomuch Seems like where all her animals at home are headed, even if he manages to have thumbs for writing. Perry is a wistful reminder that not all animals are quite as stupid as the ones here are. He has strange tastes and a willingness to show her new things that she is always charmed by, and a collection of movies that shows an excellent taste.

FRIENDS

Junpei Iori homerunning If there is a friend that makes Kel actually feel like a teenager, it’s Junpei. Hanging out with him is at once comfortable and exciting, and somehow she can forget all her formalities and just have fun and relax. Never an easy task, but one that seems simple when Junpei asks if she’s tried THIS kind of food.

Kanaya Maryam glowsferatu In the grand way of having a lesbian seamstress, Kel respects Kanaya’s way with a needle, and her needling way with words. She isn’t sure how to balance the factors of the Vors against this friendship, but she’ll keep trying as long as she can.

Kitty Jones rathercommon Not much like Daine, despite the ‘turning into animals’ similarity, but Kel has started to value this friendship all the same. A straight talking, eternally curious woman, Kitty keeps asking questions about things Kel has never had to think about. She needs the exercise.

Komasan monge The strangest Immortal Kel has ever met, and certainly the cutest. Conversations with Komasan do not take any predictable course and Kel can’t help but laugh every time(unless she somehow makes him cry). She’s given up on trying to figure him out and just enjoys the ride

Rincewind wizzardly Kel might not even realize how much of her affection for Rincewind is his similarity to her best friend back home, but it is there. But even just for himself, he has a sardonic sort of common sense and a similar world to Kel’s. She can’t help but like him, even when he inadvertently insults her profession.

His Imperial Serenity Edrehasivar VII drazhada Was even more lost than Kel, and she’s instinctively reached out to offer him protection. Even if she can’t pronounce his Imperial name, thank the gods he allows her to call him Serenity.

ALLIES

Sabriel bindsthedead Sabriel is a girl Kel’s own age with a similar world view, and she likes and respects her enormously. She’s even willing to overlook the whole necromancy thing. She regrets not being able to work with her at RISE anymore.

Miles Vorkosigan dendarii Kel isn’t sure how much she actually LIKES Miles, but he’s certainly entertaining to be around. She might be getting good at this ‘handling’ business.

Tex failureisntachoice A soldier who doesn’t even question her right to be, Kel admires Tex fiercely and wants to learn everything from her.

Aral Vorkosigan use_everything Kel can’t help but think that Neal would call him The Second Stump, but she respects Aral, as he offers HER respect in turn. Is a very good man to turn to in a crisis and is willing to have her back.

TO BE WATCHED

Major General Olivier Armstrong darwinatrix Kel’s former CO as part of RISE. Never gained Kel’s trust very much, and it’s hard to follow that with loyalty. Not her CO anymore, and that PROBABLY means Kel has nothing to fear…

Lord Mark Vorkosigan jacksonian Kidnapped Lucy. Even if there were extenuating circumstances and Lucy has forgiven, Kel is STILL Keeping an Eye on him.

Lord Petyr Baelish baetiful Was useful, but something about him niggles at the back of Kel’s mind. And it isn’t that he seems too close to Lucy, not at All.

Shinya Kogami psychofailed Seems well enough, but he’s dating Aerith. Should be watched until Kel is SURE.
